I love that statement from David at the end of this short Psalm, YES, God will bless us, that is YOU and me. In the Message Bible it is even more emphatic, “You mark us with blessing, O God, our God.”

So why is it that so many believers seem to live “cursed lives”, nothing seems to go right, the glass never seems to get 1/2 full…

I am sitting in my office, sipping a long black and again marvelling at the place I, and every human being, has in the mind the heart and the purposes of God.

I am thinking of these amazing verses:

Psa 139:14  I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…

Eph 2:10  For we are His workmanship…

Psa 8:4-5  What is man that You are mindful of him… You have made him a little lower than the God, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

I think Augustine got it right when he said, “People travel to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering.”

Spend time looking at the Word of God and marvel at His creation, especially the crown of creation – YOU!
